3A Molecular Sieve

The type 3A molecular sieve is an alkali metal aluminosilicate; it is the potassium form of a type a crystal structure. Type 3A has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms (0.3 Nm). It is large enough to allow moisture to pass through, but excludes molecules such as unsaturated hydrocarbons that can potentially form polymers; and this increases the service life when such molecules are dehydrated.

Regeneration of the 3A molecular sieve

A molecular sieve of type 3A can be regenerated either by heating in the case of processes with differences in heat, or by lowering the pressure in the case of processes with differences. To remove moisture from the molecular sieve 3A requires a temperature of 200-230°C. A properly regenerated molecular sieve can produce a dew point temperature in moisture below -100°C. the output concentration in the process of pressure drops will depend on the gas present and on the process conditions.

Attention

To avoid carbon dioxide or pre-adsorption of organic matter, it must be reactivated before starting.
